We are truly looking forward to all of the beautifully crafted, local, floral artistry this upcoming wedding season will bring. And can’t believe we’re just a few short weeks away from the beginning of another exciting season. We are all making sure to stop and smell the roses by getting to know Boulder Blooms a little better before all the commotion of bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies and receptions begins here at Rembrandt Yard. Read on to find out what questions Tim Jordan, of Boulder Blooms, thinks you should be asking when interviewing a potential florist and why being ahead of the curve is so important in this industry.
While many people have heard the name Boulder Blooms, most do not know what pride Danielle and Tim Jordan have in their company. Started in 2001, Boulder Blooms began as a wedding and event florist – and more recently has begun offering flower delivery services. Danielle and Tim Jordan, the owner’s of Boulder Blooms, got into the industry for their love not only of the flowers themselves, but the people. “The product part of this is pretty obvious, flowers are fun and uplifting. The people in this industry may be even better! Because of this, Boulder Blooms feels like one big family. There is nothing better that that!”
Tell us a little about Boulder Blooms.
At Boulder Blooms, we have a long history of tremendously talented and creative floral designers. Be it rustic, chic, elegant or any other style, Boulder Blooms will bring your floral vision to life! Due to our location and stellar reputation, we work with the highest quality and most diverse variety of flowers available in the State. The fresh blooms that make up our bouquets and arrangements are HAND-PICKED by our talented designers two or more times per week.
What advice would you give to a couple searching for a florist for their wedding?
Find a florist that A – has a style that aligns with the vision you have for your special day, and B – you connect with the designer you’re working with. [With your wedding] being such a personal event, having a connection with the person managing your flower decor is so important!
What do you love most about being a florist in Colorado?
I love the selection of locally grown flowers that we have available to us! Be it Peonies grown in the Western Slope in May/June or Dahlias grown in Fort Collins in the Autumn, we have some of the most incredible locally grown flowers! Boulder Blooms specializes in utilizing locally grown flowers!
Where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere… Other florists, retailers in other industries, international gift markets in Atlanta and Dallas, Pinterest, and so much more! To be truly successful in this industry you have to be ahead of the curve. We try and accomplish this by pulling our ideas and inspiration from sources outside of our industry!
