4 Exciting Ways to Take Advantage of Fall in Boulder
Can we take a moment to celebrate that fall is here? Ok, sure. Summer is great, but fall is such a cozy and beautiful season. It’s like nature’s way to hug you. 🤗
Fall in Boulder is particularly attractive because we’re surrounded by nature. The crisp air, the beautiful colors of the leaves… *sigh* It is a great time to get out and enjoy everything that comes with this season —and we’re not just talking about pumpkin spice lattes and apple cobblers. There is so much you can do over the fall, especially outdoors. We want to offer 4 of our favorite fun fall activities that might become your favorite too.
Admire the Foliage on a Peak to Peak Drive
If you are a nature fan, you cannot let fall go by without taking some time to admire the colors of the season. The best way to do it is to ride the Peak to Peak Scenic and Historic Byway drive. It is Colorado’s oldest scenic byway, established in 1918, and certainly one of the best spots for leaf-peeping in Colorado. Probably the most enjoyable drive you’ll ever take.
Go Apple Picking at Ya Ya
Fall is apple picking season. If you love all things apple, this is an activity you don’t want to miss. Ya Ya Farm & Orchard is the best place for apple picking, but while you’re there, you can also admire all the farm animals, like peacocks, chickens, turkeys, and horses, have a picnic, and even take a hayride on a tractor. Plus, how can you say no to all the apple treats? 🤤
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
If there’s one thing that says “fall” out loud is pumpkins! This season is full of pumpkin everything. Although the easiest way to take a pumpkin home is by grabbing it at the grocery store, nothing beats the feeling of visiting a pumpkin patch. It provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the mountain views while you pick your favorite pumpkin —whether you decide to use it for decorating, or to turn it into a delicious pumpkin pie.
Celebrate Halloween at the Munchkin Masquerade on Pearl Street
Every year, Boulder sets up the Munchkin Masquerade on Pearl Street to celebrate Halloween surrounded by tiny ghosts, dragons, princes, and princesses, superheroes and more. If Halloween is your favorite fall activity, mark your calendar! You’ll be busy on October 31st, from 3 pm to 6 pm.
These are some of our favorite ways to celebrate the fall. What are yours?
