Every year, we are fortunate to get to host and participate in so many incredible events, celebrations, and love stories. Each one is unique and brings a host of wonderful vendors, guests, and memories. In recent weeks, we can’t help but looking back on Caitlin & Ryan’s Monet in the Garden themed wedding.
Photographed by the new-to-Colorado JKG Photography, this day truly took our breath away. Caitlin & Ryan, two musicians who met studying here at CU Boulder, designed a stunning celebration of love, color, and music. The bride’s mother worked closely with local florist, Boulder Blooms, to curate, design, and create the majority of the stunning florals herself from aisle pieces to centerpieces to a beautifully decorated violin welcoming guests into the space. To tie it all together, Boulder Blooms designed and assembled stunning arch pieces and bouquets for the bridal party.
The celebration began with guests joining the couple for an intimate and heartfelt ceremony. Monet’s Water Lillies stood as a backdrop for the couple’s ceremony, which was officiated by a close family member. Members of the bridal party were led down the aisle by friends and fellow artists playing music arranged by the groom. Following this, the couple took part in a sweet ceremony sharing readings from friends and family, then exchanged vows, leaving hardly a dry eye in the room.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the gallery floor for a cocktail hour featuring a selection of incredible appetizers from Savory Cuisines, and signature cocktails dreamt up by the bride. While the bridal party spent time at Chautauqua Park taking photos in front of Boulder’s famous Flatiron Mountains, guests were mingling amongst the art on our gallery floor, taking guest book photos, and enjoying appetizers and custom crafted cocktails.
As cocktail hour came to an end, TH Entertainment kicked the reception off with a grand entrance to “Soulful Strut” by Young-Holt Unlimited. The party made their debut back into the stunning space filled with bud vases, candlelight, and a custom built photo booth. Dinner led into champagne toasts from parents, friends, and siblings. After sweet toasts and many cheers, the couple cut their cake and made their way onto the dance floor. A video of their intimate mountaintop ceremony played behind them as they shared their first official dance as a married couple. After parent dances, the floor officially opened for all guests. Finally, a last dance with loved ones to “This Will Be” by Natalie Cole ended the night.
Between the stunning florals, carefully curated elegant design, and personal touches featuring music, memories, and art, this wedding is sure to be one we will never forget. We feel so lucky to have hosted and coordinated such a genuine group and wish Caitlin & Ryan a lifetime of happiness.
