There is something truly special about winter in Boulder, especially here at Rembrandt Yard. The Flatirons frosted with snow, downtown lit up with twinkle lights, and our windows overlooking it all. Last year, we had the pleasure of hosting Maura & Luke for their wedding reception, and it was truly a celebration of winter! These two wanted to incorporate one of their favorite activities into their nuptials and thus a winter wonderland inspired by their shared passion of skiing was brought to life.
After spending a relaxing morning getting ready in our suites followed by a touching father/daughter first look, Maura & Luke headed to their ceremony at a nearby church. The wedding party then hopped aboard the BrewHop Trolley for some amazing photos beneath the Flatiron Mountains, dusted with snow. After capturing some truly breathtaking moments, they returned here for a private moment before joining their friends and family for the reception.
The seasonally inspired table design featured neutral linens, with wood slice chargers displaying bud vases with white florals, pinecones, and greenery finished with table numbers named after ski slopes. Guests were invited to find their tables using a seating chart displaying vintage signage from the areas resorts and the couple’s newly shared last name. Greens Point Catering served a wintery salad & bread course then followed by a plated meal. The meal was finished with chocolate cake from Mulberries Cake Shop that was topped with a chair lift heart cake topper.
Dinner gave way to speeches and a first dance as dusk arrived. TH Entertainment invited all guests to join in the dancing, while Maura & Luke broke away to share a cake cutting with a custom engraved set. Once dessert was out the party truly began, and the couple & guests danced the night away.
There is something truly special about wintertime weddings, and we loved every minute of getting to celebrate with Maura & Luke. We wish them many years of happiness (and skiing!) to come.
